This is why we track training load
As part of the service of writing gym programs, I also help to plan the training week and track training load.
This level of support is particularly beneficial during periods of intense training or during the competitive season.
Why do we track all this?
Here's why:

Australian Auroras camps are an example where athletes need to ramp up their training load in order to reduce their injury risk. It's counterintuitive, but there is mounting evidence that hard training is better than rest.

We now also track how similar the daily training load is, which gives me an idea of whether you can get small bouts of recovery through your week. A high training base can be maintained for long periods, providing there is enough recovery within a training week.
